Maintenance-free, easy to clean & energy efficient

Our robust Steam Infusion Vaction Pump technology requires almost zero maintenance and is hygienically designed and more energy efficient than many alternatives.

Maintenance-free

The Steam Infusion Vaction Pump is hygienically designed and constructed using 316L stainless steel with no moving parts within the product flow, allowing you to achieve near maintenance-free operation for the ultimate reliability. This also ensures that the Vaction Pump is easy to clean, which is further guaranteed by the lack of burn-on during operation, both on the vessel and pipework as well as the Pump itself.

Not only does this remove the potential for unplanned downtime, increasing your efficiencies and output, but it also can result in significant annual cost savings. Reduced maintenance and removal of condensate management can save manufacturers thousands of pounds per year, dependent on the operation of existing systems.

Some customers have been using their Vaction Pumps for over ten years without any need for maintenance or replacement Vaction Pumps.

Energy efficient

Steam Infusion achieves highly efficient energy transfer, with less than 3% energy loss In-Tank and In-Line. The annular design of the Vaction Pump allows steam to condense within the Pump itself and the heating process does not rely on contact time between the steam and the product so it can run at comparatively higher steam pressures without compromising on efficiency, minimising losses to the atmosphere. Our research has shown that you can achieve up to 20% reduction in energy consumed when using the Steam Infusion system compared with traditional steam-jacketed cooking vessels, depending on your existing processing conditions. This can help to both reduce costs and boost your green credentials.

The Steam Infusion system is very fast and has reduced our cooking energy consumption by 15%. It’s a quality piece of equipment that’s definitely ‘cook proof’.

Quiet

Steam Infusion has been found to be much quieter than traditional steam injection systems. The Steam Infusion process does emit a certain amount of noise due to vibration, which differs depending on the application. The system should never exceed 79DB so ear protection is not required. The noise will change throughout the cook and is usually loudest around 65°C and 95°C, but this will vary with different viscosities and particulates.
